Okay I know I said I wouldn’t post again, but I just had to share. We took the kids to a beach on Kauai called Poipu beach. Sounds just like it looks. Only Brynley calls it Poipoopy beach. She is walking around singing it. I also told her that she was all shi shi poo poo. She infomed me that was potty talk. Oh well. I really should write down all she says. Most of the time I can’t remember all of her funnies. Oh well more to come I am sure.

We went to the Old Lahaina Luau tonight. It was really a fun time. Brynley cried when it was over. She just wants to be a hula girl. She asked if I would buy her some coconuts to cover up her armpits (she calls her boobs her armpits). So be sure to ask her to show you a hula. Here is a picture of her with the hula girls after the show. Notice the face. She truely was crying.
We spent the day at the beach today. The kids enjoyed it and Brynley actually enjoyed being in the water. Even if it was just floating around in an innertube that Denny was holding on to. It was progress though. At least she got in. Brayden spent most of the day building a sand castle and surfing the waves. He so loves the ocean.
We took a whale watching cruise yesterday evening. It was really fun. We got to see 2 males having a fight over a female, who also just happened to have a baby. So there were 4 whales right off the end of our boat. I got some great pictures. Here is just one of the many.
Both kids really enjoy riding on the boats. Brayden especially likes the POG (pineapple, orange, guava juice)that they serve. He drank quite a bit of it.
Well that is really it for now. We will be packing up and heading home tomorrow. We won’t actually be home until Tuesday. I am dreading coming home already. It is so hard to leave paradise and head back to rainy old home. Not to mention having to get back in to real life. Blech! Oh well we have to get back to reality at some point. But I sure do love Hawaii. Brayden says he can’t wait to come back, Brynley usually says she wants to go to Disneyworld, but after tonight she wants to come back and see the hula girls. So we will see. Talk to everyone soon.

Oh how we love Maui. I think it is my favorite island here. We have been here since Wednesday night. We are really not doing a whole lot here other than relaxing. Thursday we spent at the beach. Brayden spent all day riding the waves in his innertube. He has the sand burn on his belly to prove it. He loves the ocean so much. Brynley spent the whole day in the cabana. She did finally venture into the sand to make chocolate cake. No castles, just chocolate cake. She doesn’t like the waves. I think she thinks they are going to get her. Anyway she prefers the pool. So to appease her we spent all day today at the pool. We have had dinner 2 nights in a row in Lahaina and the kids love to go there. I think there is just so much to look at. Tomorrow we are shopping (I think) and then we have a whale watch/ sunset cruise tomorrow evening. Brynley likes the boats, so I am sure she will love it.
We dressed the kids up tonight for a little photo shoot on the beach. I didn’t so much editing but here are a few anyway.
Just a little side funny. We flew Aloha airlines here to Maui, and if you hadn’t heard they just filed for bankruptcy. It was funny on the flight because the flight attendant had to tell us they didn’t have juice for us. Normally they serve a Pineapple/ guava juice. But not in bankruptcy. We got a cup of water, with one ice cube. That is it. One ice cube only. Kind of funny, they are even cutting back on the ice. Pretty soon you won’t get anything. Oh well I just hought it was funny that they made sure each glass got only one ice cube.
Brynley’s funnies for the day: She wants you to blow down her window (roll down her window). She also like to say that things are perfecto. Yes perfecto, only sometimes it comes out ferfecto. So things are ferfecto around here. Hope they are good for you too. More to come soon.

Sorry it has been so long since I updated. We had a little power situation with Denny’s computer, which is the one with the internet access. Anyway we finally just decided to pay for internet at the hotel, and low and behold it is free, or at least we think it is.
We flew to Kauai on Friday. Saturday we took a wonderful boat ride/snorkel cruise up the NaPali coast. It is a part of the island that is accessible only by water or air. It is breathtakingly beautiful. I don’t know that I can actually explain how beautiful it is. We also got to see dolphins and whales on our boat ride. The kids loved that. On Easter Sunday the kids decorated Easter eggs and did an egg hunt on the grounds here. I think the kids had fun, but there were too many pushy parents for my liking. Really it isn’t the Olympics, just a cheesy egg hunt. Anyway then we just spent the rest of the day at the pool. Today we drove the south and west parts of the island. The main highway doesn’t go all the way around the island, so we drove half today. We visited the Waimea Canyon which is considered the Grand Canyon of the Pacific. It was truely beautiful. Plus at the top of the lookout you can see into the 1st canyon on the NaPali coast. That was stunning. Anyway the canyon goes to an elevation of 4,000 ft. But you climb that in a span of about 10 miles on the road. It goes up pretty quickly. We also went to see the Spouting horn which is like a blow hole that the ocean shoots up through. We also took a little stroll on Poipu beach. It was very crowded so we didn’t stay very long. So that is a quick synopsis of our last few days.
On a funny note, we thought Brynley would be over her sand fear, but no. We took her to the beach today and she screamed bloody murder. I just drug her with me down to our beach here at the hotel and let her scream until she got over it. Brayden body surfed and Brynley screamed. She finally got to the point that she was sitting on the sand so we will see how it goes.
Here is the Brynleyism of the day: She told me that we went and had breakfast at the fuffet. Yep the fuffet, not the buffet the fuffet.
I will post some pictures in order of the days we did them. I hope that makes sense. More to come soon.
Juat kidding my computer is being stupid, so I will try for pictures tomorrow morning. Good Night Everyone!!!

Sorry for not updating last night, but the kids really haven’t adjusted to the time change. They are falling asleep at 8:00pm and getting up at 6:30am, so we are all a little tired at night. Anyway we were all up, showered, dressed and at breakfast by 8:00 am yesterday. Definately a record for us.
We did go to Pearl Harbor yesterday as well as the Aviation Museum of the Pacific. Brayden had a great time. Brynley just loved the boat ride to the memorial. She is our thrill seeker. The more she got splashed the more she giggled. Anyway as a sidenote never travel to Hawaii and go as part of a giant tour group. When I say giant I mean four tour bus loads of teenagers and their poor chaparones. All I can say is matching cheesy Hawaiian shirts obviously ordered from some cheap company while still on the mainland. Large groups just tend to forget there are other people around. I don’t know I guess I just got tired of getting shoved around so they could get with their group. No offense to those of you reading who will be leaving on a tour very soon, it was just one of those situations where you are supposed to be reserved and reflect of the loss of life that occured on the Arizona, not giggling with your bff about whatever boy you met. Anyway at least they were American and not giggling Japanese girls saying ” You take my picture” Uh No!!!
On to those promised flight stories. Man people are clueless. Just for your giggle of the day Brynley calls the airline we flew American Islands. I’ll skip the flight to Chicago that was all business people. But the flight to Honolulu clearly all tourists. We were on a 767 so the seats were 2-3-2 across. We were in the 2 seats one in front of the other. We had this family in the middle next to us, mom, dad and 2 little boys. They were 3 across with one seat behind. I’ll just say they brought a DVD player for the kids, but didn’t think to charge it up. Whoops. The dad spent an hour crawling around on the floor trying to find a power outlet. He had no success. Nine hours with 2 boys and no way to entertain them. Need I say more. Then there was the people right in front of Brynley and I . Older man and his wife, the man had to bring his cushion with him to sit on. Anyway they reclined their seats as far as they could go the minute the pilot said they could. Yes nine hours of their seat in my face. I had Brynley in her carseat so between her seat and his reclined one, she had no place for her feet. She kicked his seat for 9 hours straight. I started out getting after her, but about halfway through I decided that if he was stupid enough to recline his seat then he deserved to get kicked. Lesson here (just my opinion)- You don’t recline your seat on an airplane unless it is an overnight flight and everyne else is sleeping too. And last but not least, there was a family a couple rows in front of us. I don’t honestly know if it was mom, dad, and kids or g-ma, g-pa and kids. All I can say is that woman spent 4 1/2 hours of a 9 hour flight digging in the overhead bins. No Joke. She dug out fun foam and pipecleaners. Really on an airplane. You have got to be kidding me. Both kids were older than mine. Bring some movies and headphones and plug them in for 9 hours. My kids were silent the whole time. Anyway that was our flight. I love being trapped in a very small area for 9 hours with a bunch of your closest friends. You just have to remind yourself of the end result…paradise.
Yesterday we also drove up to the Dole Plantation to get some Dole whip. Kind of like soft serve pineapple ice cream. Very yummy, especially with fresh pineapple topping. Brayden liked it last year, however this year he decided it was gross. Oh well his loss. We also drove up to the North shore to see if there were any big waves. No luck. I think you must have to come earlier in the winter to see the Pipeline in action. Oh well . We then got pizza for dinner. Brynley fell asleep in her dinner. We had to carry her limp, snoring, little self all the way back to the hotel. Anyway today we are going to the pool/beach. I will add more pictures later.
Hope you all are well. Talk to you soon.
p.s. Brayden finally lost his tooth. Now he has a big whole in the middle.

Welcome to our family Blog. This is my first attempt at such a thing so we will see how it goes. I don’t think I am especially witty or funny, but I certainly have some kids that will crack you up. Just to prove my point, here is a picture of Brynley from this evening. All I can say is welcome to my world!!!
(Check out the Leopard Print shoes!!!)
